Exploring the development of the British school of landscape painting, particularly during the 18th and 19th centuries, this exhibition includes 150 works of art, from three of the genre's towering exponents: John Constable RA, Thomas Gainsborough RA and JMW Turner RA. Showcasing major works from the Royal Academy Collections including paintings, prints, books and archival material, alongside a number of works by their contemporaries, this promises a beautiful, sublime and picturesque tour, lead by a trio of grand academicians.
