Overview

Howard Brenton's Anne Boleyn, originally written for The Globe in 2010, is a fresh and lively romp through the story of one of the most important and fascinating periods in British history. Told with humour and vitality, the play portrays Anne Boleyn partly through the eyes of James I, not just as a sexual predator nor political pawn, but as the intelligent, moral and modern - woman that she was.
