Overview

Pioneering Madchester band The Stone Roses formed in 1983 and went on to become one of Britain's most succesful alternative rock bands of the late 80s and early 90s. Led by frontman Ian Brown, the band are most famous for their hits 'Fools Gold', 'Love Spreads' and 'One Love'. Releasing only two studio albums in their 13-year career, the band split in 1996. In 2011 the band announced that they were reuniting to 'take the world by storm'.
