Biffy Clyro at The O2
Overview
Cult rock legends Biffy might look like a murderous Jacobite clan but the Ayrshire trio are considered to be one of most influential bands in the country. Many observers will be surprised to learn that the band formed in the mid 1990s as teenagers. Back then they sounded like a Nirvana tribute band and it was only following the release of their fourth album 'Puzzle' in 2007 that they achieved mainstream success. Biffy have done it the hard way and should be commended for their dogged persistence. Raw, uncompromising and energetic, the Scottish rockers are now Reading Festival favourites after top 10 singles such as "Mountains" and "That Golden Rule". Not bad for a Nirvana tribute band from Ayrshire.
