Beginner's Lace at Liberty

The aim of this workshop is to help understand how to knit lace and also become more confident when reading charts and patterns. During the course of the day we will explore the difference between eyelets, faggoting and lace. Practise the lace cast-on. Learn different ways of increasing and decreasing in order to create different patterns. Recognise lace repeats within a pattern and the importance of using markers. Learn how to follow a chart. Learn how shaping affects a lace pattern, discuss best ways of blocking. Share useful tips and techniques.
