Lace and Bead Knitting for Beginners at Liberty

If you can knit and purl but find lace knitting a little daunting let this workshop take the fear out of your yfwds and slipped stitches. This full day workshop will show you the basics of lace knitting: how to read a lace chart, how to keep the pattern going when shaping lacework, the difference between all those yo, yfwd and yrn’s and the best way of blocking your finished piece. During the class we will also look at different ways of incorporating beads into knitted designs, including how to thread beads onto yarn before knitting. Participants will start a small beaded and lace project and either finish it or take it home to complete.
