Horrible Histories: The Terrible Tudors at Fairfield Halls and Ashcroft Theatre
Overview
Gory, lurid, revelling in all the murkier and nastiest details of the past, 'The Horrible Histories', presented by Birmingham Stage Company, offer young audiences a chance to hear history come to life, from the horrible Henries to the end of evil Elizabeth. Children love all things ribald and revolting, and here they can listen to the legends (and the lies) about the torturing Tudors, and find out the fate of Henry's headless wives and his punch-up with the Pope. Not that the show doesn't have an educational aspect; but if your kids learn anything, they'll do it while having plenty of grisly fun.
