Pal Joey at The Musical Museum
Overview
Pal Joey is the sardonic tale of an unscrupulous singer on the make. Sinatra, as Joey, gives, arguably, his greatest and most mature performance in a musical, as he ducks and dives his way to fame and fortune. Assured direction from George Sidney (who had made Anchors Aweigh with Sinatra a dozen years before) and a brilliant Rodgers & Hart song score, including Sinatra's ultimate rendition of 'The Lady is a Tramp'.
