The Renaissance Reconsidered at The British Museum
Overview
The British Museum has strong collections of Renaissance drawings, ceramics and medals. Through lectures, film and gallery talks, this study day discusses the role of drawing in Italian Renaissance art; Michelangelo's drawing techniques; workshop practice; Albrecht Durer and the connections between the Germanic lands and Venice on the eve of its Golden Age; and the cross-cultural links in European Renaissance ceramics.
