Overview
Coast and Country is an exhibition of paintings by Carol Owen. She continues to explore her favourite themes: landscape and coastal scenes. Carol is interested not just in topographical views but in the subtle differences in the quality of natural light at different times of day. Sketches, photographs and memory all play their part in her work. Each painting is the result of many hours of thought and study based on Carol's observations and inner experience of her chosen scene at a chosen time.
