Currency is part of a new programme that presents some of the most exciting and creative new works from Europe and the rest of world in a friendly and interactive format to encourage discussion and engagement with artists that challenge their audience to think in new ways. In Mor Shani's 'Flatland', an actor and three dancers tell the touching story of a neurologist who unexpectedly became his own research object when he found he was no longer the choreographer of his own life. Shani is a freelance choreographer based in the Netherlands. Technical expertise is blended with contemporary choreography in Italian artist Alessandro Sciarroni's solo Joseph, which includes edgy live online interaction via the randomising social network ChatRoulette. Sciarroni is an Italian performer, actor and choreographer who creates crossovers between performance art, theatre, and visual arts.
