Live and Kicking: Creative Approaches to the KS2 Curriculum at BFI Southbank
Overview
Have you ever thought about making a silent movie to bring teaching history to life in your classroom? Or making an animation film to encourage a creative learning approach to literacy or MFL? During this theoretical and practical ‘hands-on’ day, you will have an opportunity to think creatively about all areas of the curriculum, using film both through watching shorts and clips and through practical filmmaking skills and application. A variety of techniques will be explored throughout this day which will provide lots of inspiration and know-how to take back to your classroom and to really bring your teaching across the curriculum to life. Films will be created using pocket camcorders, animation software and PC laptops.
