Hola Ninos: a Modern Foreign Languages Event for Pupils of Spanish at KS2 at BFI Southbank

This day event has been developed to assist in the teaching of Spanish by focusing on how film can be used as an original and creative approach to learning more about Spanish culture and accessing a wider range of language in a fun and lively atmosphere. A variety of carefully selected short foreign language films and clips will form the basis of the event which will introduce pupils to films from other cultures and there will be interactive activities to build on their understanding and vocabulary. The day will also include an introduced screening of a suitable Spanish film. A teachers’ resource pack will be included, with plenty of follow-on activities.
