Overview

On 13 November from 5.30pm, Regent Street will continue its celebration of the London 2012 legacy as Team GB and ParalympicsGB switch on the world-famous Regent Street Christmas lights.

There'll be appearances from athletes including Olympic Long Jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford and Paralympic couple Sarah and Barney Storey, who between them won five gold medals at London 2012. They will be joined on stage by more than 40 teammates.

The switch-on event will also feature the cast of West End musical Matilda and renowned opera singer Noah Stewart. The night will culminate with a spectacular pyrotechnic display.

Decorated with gold holly and red berry garlands, celebratory tributes to the Olympic and Paralympic teams will hang from the sky, and gold filigree plaques along the street will tell the story of the twelve days of Christmas.

The lights will stay up until 6 January 2013.
