Ballet Introduction with Lai-Sheung Chan at The Place

Designed for complete beginners this course serves as an ideal starting point to take your first steps into classical ballet. Students are guided through the key principles in relaxed and informative classes, which provide students with a sound knowledge of the basic classical technique, movement vocabulary, coordination and confidence needed to progress on to Beginners Ballet.

\nLai-Sheung graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where she majored in Dance and received an Advanced Diploma. After graduation, she joined the Hong Kong Ballet Company before continuing her studies and gaining a specialist Teaching Diploma in the Teachers' Course for Professional Dancers at the Royal Ballet School in London. She also obtained her Advanced Certificate in Education accredited by the Canterbury Christ Church University College in Kent. Lai-Sheung has been teaching and coaching classical ballet worldwide and was the ballet Mistress for the Hong Kong Ballet Group's Winter Production in 2001 and rehearsal mistress for the Sinman Dance Company in 2009. Currently, she is a senior ballet tutor and the personal assistant to the Vice-Principal and Artistic Director of Bird College.
