Overview

Controversial dramatisation of the Danton-Robespierre clash during the French Revolution. Danton returns to Paris to find the city in disarray after a bloody series of executions, incited by his former ally Robespierre. Danton, confident of public backing, confronts Robespierre only to find himself rounded up by Robespierre's henchmen.
