Household Cavalry Olympians at Household Cavalry Museum
Overview
A display of medals, memorabilia and pictures celebrating the participation and achievements of members of the Household Cavalry at the Olympic Games since 1908. The British Armed Forces have always placed great emphasis on sports training and exceptional standards of physical fitness. Occasionally gifted individuals go on to reach the pinnacle of their chosen sport by representing their country at the Olympic Games. In this Olympic year, this display celebrates members of the Household Cavalry, who have performed at this exacting level, including some who have won medals and several who have gone on to hold distinguished positions in the promotion of their sport at national and international level.
