Why the Lion Danced at Polka Theatre
Overview
This is a sublime children's theatre show that celebrates the Chinese new year with puppetry, performance and dancing. It tells the story of lion dancing which is similar to the dancing dragon that is synonymous with the Chinese New Year celebrations. You'll play the part of villagers as a dreaded monster comes and wreaks havock on your village, and only one creature can save you! There's plenty to get involved with here, and after the performance the actors will teach the children how to lion dance.
