The dramatic 'Romeo and Juliet' Fantasy Overture captures the fate of the star-cross'd lovers. The Violin Concerto is a firm favourite of violinists and audiences throughout the world, while the colourful music from the ballet 'The Nutcracker', the glittering Polonaise from 'Eugene Onegin' and the explosive 1812 Overture represent other facets of the composer's personality.
