Ben Howard at O2 Academy Brixton

Singer-songwriter Ben Howard was born in London in 1988. He moved to Devon at an early age and was raised on music from such classic artists as Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. He began performing following a stint in college, and progressively built a loyal following around Devon with his unique brand of rootsy folk music and dark lyrics. After signing to Island Records, Howard put out his debut album Every Kingdom in September 2011. The record went to number seven in the UK album chart, achieving silver status and winning a Mercury Music Prize nomination.
