Animation Using the Computer: For Beginners at City Lit
Overview
Combining the traditional methods of drawn and cut-out animation with computer techniques, you will make short animations using Flash. This is the application of choice for creating animations for both film and the web. All levels welcome. This course uses the application Flash to introduce you to the traditional and experimental techniques of drawn and cut-out animation. This is an introductory course. You do not need to have any experience in animation or in the application Flash. You do need to have some basic experience of using a computer. You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions to support demonstrations, hand-outs and for health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple and calculations. Please look at the rest of the course outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support in your English and Maths skills to help you to take part fully in this class.
