Flute (Karnatic) at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan

Overview

Indian flute is perhaps the most natural and simple of all musical instruments as it is made from the bamboo plant. Its popularity is directly related to Krishna, the most popular of all Hindu deities. It is simple yet profound. The South Indian flute in general is a little shorter in length than its North Indian counterpart.
