Violin at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan
Overview
Though the violin is used in both North and South Indian music it has become an integral part of the South Indian music scene, both as a solo and accompanying instrument. This Western instrument has been beautifully adopted by the musicians in India. Today the popularity of the Violin is only surpassed by that of vocal music in Southern India.
