Featured artists include Canaletto, Boucher, Watteau, David, Hogarth, Gainsborough and Reynolds. This course explores the art and culture of the 18th century. Working within the context of ‘the age of reason and enlightenment’ we will explore key styles in art, design and architecture throughout the century and reflect on the impact of social and political ideas and events on creative practice during this period.
