World Heritage Sites in London

London has four sites and attractions listed by UNESCO as being of special cultural or physical significance.

These are the Tower of London; the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew; The Palace of Westminster, including the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, St Margaret's Westminster and Westminster Abbey; and Maritime Greenwich.

Maritime Greenwich was added to the list of World Heritage Sites in 1997 for the concentration and quality of buildings of historic and architectural interest in the area. These can be divided into the group of buildings along the riverfront, Greenwich Park, and the Georgian and Victorian town centre.
