Latest News: Win a Trip to Wembley to Launch London’s 2018 World Cup Bid

How would you like to visit Wembley to officially launch London's 2018 World Cup bid?
For one lucky football fan (and the team you play with) this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity can be won by entering the competition we're running with Metro newspaper.
At the heart of London's bid is the message that its residents are football-mad. As Mayor Boris Johnson explains, "For a jumpers-as-goalposts kickabout, London is the best city around. From world-famous parks with fabulous views, like Hyde Park and Hampstead Heath, to communal greens and school playing fields, every blade of green grass inspires Londoners to bend it like Beckham or tackle like Moore."
We want to give one of you football-crazy Londoners the chance to play a central part in our bid.

Help Bring the Excitement of the World Cup to London

If England were to host the World Cup in 2018, matches could be played in up to four stadiums across London.
But the excitement and celebrations would spread beyond these match venues to official Fan Fests for tens of thousands of fans and other football, cultural and community events right across the capital.
Training sites and football stadiums across London would provide the opportunity for resident fans of every participating nation to watch their national heroes in training.
London: A Football-Mad City

London has an unprecedented level of public interest in football, with more professional football clubs (13) than any other city in the world.
At an amateur level, hundreds of thousands of players compete in organised matches every weekend. Hackney Marshes is reportedly the single largest collection of football pitches in the world.
