An absolute stalwart of the market scene is Camden. There are 5 markets in total, but for quality and vintage fashion, head to Camden Lock. It's all about an individual look – mixing it up, high fashion with vintage, think Vivienne Westwood meets Frye boots. And this is the place to buy on a budget. Camden's packed with great places to eat, drink and be seen. If you want to work the Jude and Sienna boho-cool, walk along the road to the pubs of Primrose Hill.

London's hippest market is Spitalfields on a Sunday. In the last few years, it's been regenerated – in the best possible way. The stalls in the old and new markets are surrounded by some great eateries – Leon, Canteen, Giraffe, the list goes on. This is the gateway to the East London edge. We're talking hardcore urban cool. Around the corner from Spitalfields is Brick Lane and if you are after fashion, we strongly recommend The Old Truman Brewery.
All the guidebooks will tell you London's a city of villages – which is true, especially to those in the know, when it comes to fashion.
For that Matthew Williamson, Alice Temperley, Cath Kidson and Miss Sixty type of quirky, high-end chic, go to Seven Dials in Covent Garden. Not the Piazza! To show off your new outfits hang out at The Covent Garden Hotel's bar – one of London's best kept secrets!
Comme des Garcons founder and leading London fashion light Rei Kawakubo's vision was to recreate the fashion anarchy of Kensington Market (now closed), which she's done in the form of the awesome Dover Street Market. Located in Mayfair, it's unlike any clothes shop you've ever seen – and the merchandise is superb. It's proper cutting-edge fashion with an emphasis on showcasing young designers.

Even if you're not a huge fan of department stores, you'll adore Liberty. It's a kind of contradiction, from the outside it looks really old (Tudor, in fact) and the stunningly beautiful interior looks more like a museum than a shop, but the merchandise is iconic, designer style at its finest.
For a great day out, you can't beat shopping on The Kings Road, SW3. Also check out Sloane Square, Sloane Street and Duke of York Square for some really great shops. For those who love fashion, this is where begins and ends – there really is something for everyone.
