Spas in London

London offers some of the most indulgent, most luxurious spa treatments in the world. London can be a pretty exhausting place: spend some time in a London spa, and you'll soon feel regenerated, and ready to take on the rest of the city.

Chic London Retreats and Spas

Here's a selection of some of our favourite chic retreats in London. Everyone deserves a little pampering and London offers an array of wonderful treatments and gorgeous venues to choose from.

Agua at the Sanderson Hotel

Pure, white drapes, rather than walls, billow throughout Agua, the Sanderson Hotel's spa. The atmosphere is serene, with the ethereal sound of a distant water feature echoing around the space. The treatment menu is impressive, with Eve Lom facials and deluxe massage treatments on offer. Take a shower and wait in the private lounge for your therapist to find you. And don't forget to sample the skin-softening milk and honey treatment.

Bliss, Sloane Avenue

The brainchild of New Yorker Marcia Kilgore, Bliss has a vibe that is pure Manhattan. On the ground floor, customers sit at 4 mani-pedi stations, sipping smoothies and flicking through fashion magazines. Downstairs, therapists perform services like the Quadruple Thighpass (a powerful anti-cellulite treatment), the Triple Oxygen Facial (a radical complexion reviver) and the Ginger Rub, a 2-hour massage treatment.

Elemis Day Spa

Just off New Bond Street, the Elemis Day Spa is a real sensory experience. Treatments have been collated from Morocco, Thailand, Japan, India and Polynesia. Therapists pad around in bare feet and offer gorgeous rituals like the Japanese Silk Facial Booster. The spa also has some speciality treatment rooms, including the heated Rasul room and the Balinese Suite, which comes with a slipper bath.

Spa NK

You'll be pleased to know Spa NK has nothing to do with spanking. Rather, it's a peaceful yet energising day retreat aimed at promoting inner quiet and enhanced personal well-being. Low lighting and neutral colours create a serene mood. In the spacious treatment rooms you can choose the music and incense oils you want during your customised treatment. The most popular here is the famed Eve Lom facial, but you can enjoy anything from a blissful body treatment to some nail grooming.

Mandarin Oriental Spa, Hyde Park

The Mandarin Oriental Spa, housed in the hotel of the same name, is a celebrity favourite. Jennifer Aniston is rumoured to have spent hours here enjoying the zen atmosphere and top treatments. Visitors are encouraged to book time, as opposed to specific treatments. On arrival, the expert therapists will assess your needs and prescribe your ideal spa experience.

K Spa

K Spa at K West offers a stunning and luxurious place to relax. Offering a range of beauty and holistic treatments, you'll soon feel your problems melt away. K West uses only the best products, including ESPA, Germaine Di Cappucini and Crystal Clear. Hit the Vanity K Nailbar to get your hands and feet in order – there are treatments for both men and women. Finish off your treatment with some time in the RelaKs Lounge – with music, low lighting and a soothing water feature.

Claridge's Olympus Suite

Underneath the penthouse floor of Claridge's, the Olympus Suite is the hotel's exclusive spa. With only the finest beauty ranges from Anne Semonin and La Prairie, this spa is a perfect retreat. Choose a seaweed-infused jet-lag treatment to help relieve stress and fatigue or opt for the deluxe La Prairie Skin Caviar Facial Treatment, which is 90 minutes of well-deserved indulgence.

The Spa at Chancery Court

The Spa at Chancery Court, has been named "Day Spa of the Year" twice at the prestigious British Beauty Awards, and is always introducing new treatments for its regulars. Offering over 40 holistic treatments, the spa has something for everyone from massage to body wraps, manicures to facials. The gold-leafed relaxation room has comfortable beds around a central island of fruit and water for use before and after treatments.

The May Fair Spa

Discover the exotic at the spa at the The May Fair. Enjoy the mineralising muds and natural salts of the Cleopatra Bathing Experience. If that's not luxurious enough, how about the Multi-Sensory Storm Shower, Ice Fountain or Hammam Relaxation? The spa offers one-hour treatments for busy professionals, day packages, bridal packages and courses of treatments.

Pennyhill Park Hotel

The stately Pennyhill Park Hotel has its very own spa. As you would expect, there are saunas, hot tubs, a gym and steam rooms, but there are also some real surprises. The spa has its very own ice grotto, intended for use after a sauna or steam bath, with a ceiling that is meant to evoke the Northern Lights. There is also a Schnapps steam room, which is infused with aromas similar to the famous alcoholic drink!

Sanook

A tranquil, Asian-themed day spa within the Courthouse Hotel Kempinski, this recently opened centre houses a state-of-the-art gym for the energetic, alongside treatment rooms offering a range of therapies. Enjoy a massage in the all-glass treatment room suspended above the impressive swimming pool!

Spa at 51

Off a tranquil courtyard in central London, Spa at 51 is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Sumptuous facilities include a state-of-the-art gym, jacuzzi spas, saunas, steam rooms and a solarium. Indulge in the spa's exclusive Sodashi experience.
