Apex City of London Hotel
Winner of several awards including a gold award for sustainable tourism at the Visit London Awards 2006 and Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Award 2008. The Apex City of London Hotel has been recognised for introducing a host of sustainability measures and for communicating the green message to staff and guests.
Acorn Restaurant
Named Best Newcomer by the Observer, the eco-friendly Acorn Restaurant in King's Cross serves first-rate food using only local and seasonal produce. The restaurant also generates its own energy, and only half a bag of rubbish a day.
Eurostar
Eurostar was named Best Low Carbon Transport & Technology at Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards 2008.
Highgate Woods
This small woodland in Highgate, North London, has been awarded Green Flag status 10 times for its public facilities and abundance of wildlife, and is now recognised as a Green Heritage Site. Take a stroll around all 28 hectares of Highgate Woods and then stop for homemade cake in the renowned café.
London Wetland Centre

This multi-award winning attraction in Barnes, West London, is the first project of its kind in the world. Thousands of birds, including some rare and unusual species, can be spotted amongst the London Wetland Centre's 40 hectares of beautiful lakes, pools and lagoons. The centre is also designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Royal Lancaster Hotel, Hyde Park
The Royal Lancaster Hotel was named Considerate Hotel of the Year 2006 by the Considerate Hoteliers Association, the world’s first green hotel alliance. Hotels in the group, particularly award winners, strive to reduce, reuse and recycle, and support local services and suppliers.
The Duke of Cambridge
The Duke of Cambridge is the world’s first certified organic pub and winner of the Time Out Best Gastropub Award amongst many other accolades. This Islington drinking-hole serves organic wine and ale alongside food sourced from local producers. It also generates its own power and boasts a conservatory made entirely from reclaimed materials.
