Clink Prison Museum

As a group, we wanted to visit what we thought 'unknown museum' turns out, it was just 'unpopular'

What a rip off! Nearly L30! For a 15min wander round four rooms. I don't know why it's even near the top London destinations and would advise anyone interested, to stay away from this uninteresting waste of money.

I certainly wont be recommending it. Spend your money in the gift shop of a free museum with decent displays and enjoyment.

I found this museum atmospheric without being sensational. There is a lot of reading matter, including a substantial amount from contemporary writings, making this a very informative visit. I was interested from the historical point of view, and was quite happy to digest all and every notice, and my six year old grandson, who had been a fortnight previously, couldn't stop talking about it. A small museum, yes, but then this is reflected in the price. The young lady in the ticket office was tremendously helpful, looking after my heavy bag of vegetables from the market so I could walk round unfettered!

We visited the Clink Prison yesterday when we visited London. You know it might be bad from the start as we paid L10 for the 4 of us which is megger cheap for london! There are about 2 rooms with just a few un-realistic wax works that don't really serve a purpose and some writing on the side boards which looks like they went to Wikipedia and typed in 'Clink Prison' and copy + Paste it onto the board. We were the only people in the whole place. The staff seemed bored and didn't really say much and we could see them just sitting there on her computer playing Pinball. Not really worth a visit but it killed 15 minutes time in London, would not really recomend. I have also added some photos.
