Kempton Park Racecourse

I hadn't been to Kempton for a couple of years as they were closed to build their new track...and WOW what a track!

Although it looks fairly basic, once the sun goes down and those lights come on...what an amazing sight!

I've never experienced floodlit racing before and the spectacle was breath-taking...

Ok, the racing apparently wasn't a very high class - we're not talking Ascot calibre here - but who cares! A great night out for families and groups of friends definitely...a great alternative to spending yet another boring night in the pub. They also had entertainment after racing too...for £16 - you can't ask for more. Included in that price we got our admission (that let you all over the course) a racecard, a drink, a £2 bet and a return discount voucher (which we definitely will be using) WHAT A BARGAIN!!!

My other half has promised to take me back to the Panoramic Bar & Rstaurant which looks spectacular...and from what I hear...the food is amazing.

For anyone looking for a slightly more upmarket alternative to the dogs...but not a 'posho suits and hats' day out to the races - would highly recommend Kempton Park Racecourse...and only 30mins via the M25/M3 and a direct train from London (they have their own station) grab your friends and get down there!
