If you have been in London a few times and have done some or most of the usual sights, go for something else....

Osterley Park is a historic house in western London, not far from Heathrow Airport, and can be reached on the Piccadilly Line (zone 5, I think, may be 6). At the exit, turn left and walk down the road for about 700 m and follow the NT signs to the house.

The house, now owned by the National Trust, is quite beautiful and the park offers great walks.

Recommended as a half-day trip.

The website for this hotel does not match what you get. I know they are undergoing a refurb but a room should be finished before it is let. My room and that of my colleague's had swapped from one type of handle (with key) to another (with key card) this meant that in both of our rooms, there was a significant gap where the hole had not be filled in - we both stuff this hole with a significant amount of toilet tissue as you could see through it and when the light in the room was turned off, the light from the corridor shone through this gap. The bathroom was disgustingly dirty, it had not been cleaned where the bath and the side of the bath met and the floor was dirty with bits on it. The headboard with lights in (which was new) did not work and I had a baby's cot blanket on my bed as a blanket. They should have waited until the room was completely refurbished before it was let out. Also I and my colleague did not feel particulary safe in the hotel - maybe it was because of the lock/handle issue. The staff were fantastic though, very helpful and accommodating - they were of a higher calibre to the building, however despite their friendliness and helpfulness I would not stay at this hotel again.

I stayed there for 4 nights and at the beginning I was very hesitant to go. Price was very low that it made me doubt the quality of the hotel. Especially, I was with wife and kid and when I am with family I avoid staying with less than 4 stars hotels.

The room was not bad at all, it is just that the carpet is a bit old. Other than that, it is very okay, of course considering the low price you are paying per night. Bathroom was fine, staff were good, room was spacious in London scale. There is no luxury items, safety box or refrigerator.

The hotel itself if cozy. My wife said she missed it after we left it. I didn't try out their restaurants or breakfast but who cares? Another good thing for it, that it is a walking distance from Osterley underground station, which will take you straight to London City Center (e.g. Piccadilly Circus). Or even you can ride the bus in front of the hotel to the station directly.

So, considering its price, then I think the hotel was a good deal and very good location, which is close to Heathrow airport with very easy access to city center.
