The Merlin Entertainments London Eye

When I went to London I did a bus tour, which I highly recommend. With the bus tour it takes you to all the big sights and they have several different stops where you are able to get off the bus and explore and later get back on. One of the places I got off was at the London Eye, which I also recommend, you are able to see all of London from the Eye and its absolutely beautiful! With the bus tour we also got to do a boat tour. If your going to London I would say that these are a few things that you should definitely do while you are there!

I paid for the London Eye Combo with Thames Cruise. I enjoyed both, the que was minimal and the views amazing. I am not into other combos offered, but as a sightseeing event, I would recomend to anyone. I traveled alone,and chose to stay off tour busses, opting instead for a 3 day bus pass and stopped at all sight offered by the tour busses for a lot less money, plus could view at both day and night, when the lights are amazing on many attractions. If you feel you need a tour bus for information, check Wikepedia for information on sights before you leave and do public transit. I feel I saw a lot more and learned a lot more than I would from a tour company, plus public busses were available everytime I wanted one, I did not have to wait every 10 to 20 minutes with a lot of other people who are often pushy so they can get the seat they want.

We did the eye and thought afterwards, what a waste of money. It did give aperspective of the city but was a long line, expensive for a ride that was not thrilling. Skip it!
