London is an international intellectual capital of the Arab world. It's home to several major Arabic language newspapers and satellite TV stations as well as the BBC Arabic service, which broadcasts out of Bush House in the Strand. The major clusters of people from the Middle East in London are around Edgware Road, Bayswater and Kensington. Communities from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Egypt and the Lebanon have also settled in areas like Shepherd's Bush.Download our free Middle Eastern London Guide [PDF 691KB]
