You'll need a hearty breakfast to set you up for a long day of luxurious pursuits! Head to the café at Harvey Nichols for a delicious breakfast on the fifth floor, overlooking the Knightsbridge rooftops.

While you're in the area, take a look round the designer shops of Sloane Street including Prada, Tiffany & Co and Armani.

Next stop is Bond Street and a trip to fabulous London department store, Selfridges.

Take a look round Selfridges' famous Wonder Room. Here you'll find high-end pieces from around the world and many unique items, from diamond-encrusted iPods to fine wine.

It's time for lunch so wander over to Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's – it's just a few minutes' walk from Selfridges.

Here you can enjoy modern European cuisine from one of the world's most famous chefs, in beautiful Art Deco surroundings. Reservations are essential and dinner jackets are preferred, gentlemen!

Afternoon: London Days Out: Luxury London

You've shopped, you've eaten, now put your feet up with a spa treatment at Agua at Sanderson hotel.

Whether you fancy a relaxing massage, an Eve Lom facial (offered at only a handful of London spas), or a bespoke treatment, there's a wide choice available. Treatments are available for men too.

Isn't it about time for a cocktail? Take your freshly-manicured self to the Met Bar for a pre-dinner drink. Sample a cocktail from the extensive menu – they're all made using fresh fruit juices.

Round off the day with a show at the stunning Royal Albert Hall. The venue is synonymous with Victorian grandeur and hosts diverse events from opera to circus to concerts.

After the show, enjoy a late dinner at Bistro One Ninety at The Gore hotel. And if you're not tired yet, enjoy a night cap in cosy Bar One Ninety next door.
