London Restaurant Festival Awards Winners 2009

The first-ever London Restaurant Festival in 2009 finished with an awards ceremony, recognising the great and good in London's dining out scene.

The 2009 London Restaurant Festival Awards were divided into two sections. 

The best Festival Menus were awarded to: 

  • Best Festival Menu, 2-course lunch for £10: St Germain
  • Best Festival Menu, 2-course dinner for £15: Village East
  • Best Festival Menu, 2-course lunch for £15: Quo Vadis
  • Best Festival Menu, 2-course dinner for £25: Whitechapel Gallery Dining Room
  • Best Festival Menu, 2-course lunch for £25: Helene Darroze at the Connaught
  • Best Festival Menu, 2-course dinner for £40: L'Anima

Six special London Restaurant Festival Awards went to

  • Bravery: Wapping Food
  • Warmth & Welcome: Angelus
  • One Person's Passion: Mourad Mazouz
  • Understanding of Ceremony: Launceston Place
  • Discovery: Wahaca
  • Fun: Portobello Pizzeria
