East Festival 2008 in London
This year, the festival ran for 6 days from 6-11 March 2008, encouraging Londoners and visitors to the capital to explore the vibrant cultural life of east London.
East represents a unique collaboration between the Mayor of London and key cultural organisations in London. The 2008 collaboration included:
- Barbican
- British Film Institute
- Museum of London
- Museum in Docklands
- Spitalfields Market
- Theatre Royal Stratford East
- Whitechapel Art Gallery
The performance strand was curated by international music producers, Serious.
