Bringing together some of the most prominent string soloists in London, the Locrian Ensemble was formed in 1995 and has established an enviable reputation for its recordings, broadcasts and live performances. At the same time, to commemorate the contribution that our antipodean cousins made to the RAF we will also have an additional display on famous Australian and New Zealands pilots who contributed to the RAF and the development of Aviation.

The final concert of the 2009-2010 Concerto Series takes us on a journey through The Orchestra of Situation Opera's repertoire: Starting with a Bach harpsichord concerto performed by distinguished soloist and principal player Claire Williams, we then hear a beautiful concert aria by Mozart, sung by Ruth Clarke-Irons (normally found playing viola in the orchestra) and the programme is then rounded out by violinist Botagoz Tynebekova performing Mozart's final and stirring Violin Concerto. J.S. Bach: Harpsichord Concerto in D minor, BWV1052; W.A. Mozart: Ch'io mi scordi di te?, Violin Concerto No.5 in A major, K219.
