The Paralympic track cycling event brings together some of the world's best Paralympic athletes on two and three-wheels.
Competitors use two-wheeled bicycles, tandems, tricycles and handcycles in different disability classes during the track cycling events at the Paralympic Games.
The sport is split into time trials, pursuits and sprint races in separate men's and women's competitions with 20 gold medals on offer.
Track Cycling at the Paralympic Games
Great Britain dominated the cycling events at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, winning 16 gold medals in total, including 11 for track cycling.
Darren Kenny won four gold medals for road race, individual pursuit, 1km time trial and team sprint. In the women's competition, Aileen McGlynn and Ellen Hunter combined to win two gold medals in the 1km time trial and individual pursuit.
