Artistic Gymnastics at London 2012
Artistic Gymnastics is a test of skill, grace and balance as competitors put together elegant moves on a series of apparatus. The competition takes place at The O2, renamed the North Greenwich Arena during the Games.
The men's and women's competitions include routines on the floor and vault. Women-only tests include Uneven Bars and Balance Beam, while men-only events include Pommel Horse, Parallel Bars, Rings and High Bar.
Gymnasts will have to maintain their concentration throughout, from the start to the dismount of each event, if they wish to win one of the 14 gold medals on offer.

The home team, China, dominated the Artistic Gymnastics competition at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, winning seven of eight male gold medals and two of six female golds.
In fact China swept all before it in all three Gymnastics disciplines, winning 11 gold medals, nine more than its closest rivals United States and Russia.
