See fast-paced, energetic volleyball at the London 2012 Olympic Games, where competitors face a test of stamina, power and technique.

While it's sister sport, Beach Volleyball, is one of the most recent additions to the Olympic Games, having been introduced in 1996, Volleyball has been part for the Olympic schedule for more than 40 years.

During the London 2012 Olympic Games, 12 teams of six players will compete for the two gold medals that are up for grabs.

Taking place in the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, the players will want to show their fans from home and abroad what they can do.

Volleyball at the Olympic Games

Brazil added to its reputation as one of the countries to beat at Volleyball with a gold medal in the women's competition and silver in the men's event at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

The United States added a men's gold medal to the two they won in the Beach Volleyball competition, with Russia (men's) and China (women's) securing bronze accolades.
