Paralympic Judo at London 2012
See the gripping Paralympic judo competition at ExCeL London, in which competitors battle it out for the coveted gold medal.
The only martial art in the Paralympic schedule, judo is a test of strength, skill and reactions, with each competitor attempting a series of moves to defeat their opponent.
All the Paralympic judo competitors have visual impairments and the discipline is split into different weight classes for males and females.
First included in the 1988 Paralympic Games, with the women's event added in 2004, Judo is a popular sport in the schedule.

China continued its good form in the 2008 Paralympic Games with four gold medals in the Judo competitions. Algeria gained two gold medals, while a handful of other countries also picked up the coveted prize.
Great Britain will look to improve upon its single medal – a bronze won by Samuel Ingram – on home soil at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
