Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is a World Heritage Site with botanical collections from round the globe. The Gardens contain glasshouses, museums, galleries, temples and other follies dating back to the period of royal ownership of the Gardens in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. As a site of research on horticulture and taxonomy, the Gardens organise conservation programmes on a wide range of endangered and threatened plants and their habitats. The Gardens offer guided tours and hands-on sessions that highlight its history and activities to the visitors.
