Britten Song Cycles: The Poet's Echo

An evening-long journey through the varied landscapes of some of Britten's song cycles for voice and piano in the company of Malcolm Martineau and some of the UK's brightest young vocal stars, all of whom are Alumni of the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme. Spanning most of the composer's creative life, written for some of the 20th century's most notable Lieder exponents and setting a huge variety of poetry, this is a richly fascinating and deeply affecting collection.
