Lower Carbon Drive at Home

Lower Carbon Drive is a campaign to show how existing housing can be adapted to reduce its impact on the environment. It provides clear guidance to all those engaged in meeting local and national targets for CO2 reduction in the built environment. In London, local boroughs have ambitious targets for reducing CO2 emissions to coincide with the London-wide targets set by the Mayor. New initiatives, such as the Mayor's Low Carbon Zones require that practical action is taken and appropriate information provided to enable this. London has a large housing stock many of which were built before 1939 and have common features which present a large potential for carbon saving.
