Alan Bennett's play looks at the desires of two difficult men, and reflects on growing old, on creativity and inspiration, and ultimately on the habit of art.

Richard Griffiths plays WH Auden in The Habit of Art.
Griffiths created the role of Hector in Alan Bennett’s The History Boys at the National Theatre, on Broadway and on film.
The show also stars Frances de la Tour, who appeared alongside Griffiths in History Boys.
Benjamin Britten is played by National Theatre Associate Alex Jennings.
