Wolke Neun (Cloud 9)

On the surface Inge is a happily-married woman in her mid-sixties with a devoted husband of thirty years and grandchildren to enjoy. She spends her days working from home as a seamstress and in the evenings she keeps her husband company whilst he listens to recordings of diesel engines. Her calm and predictable world is turned upside down when she finds herself sexually attracted to Karl, a gentleman some ten years older than herself. They embark upon a steamy affair and the camera allows the viewer to share their most passionate moments and witness their delight and confusion of falling in love again. When Inge, tormented by her deceit, decides that she must tell her unsuspecting husband of her new-found love, devastating consequences await all parties involved. The truth is that love hurts even when you're over sixty.
