Who is Little Voice?
Little Voice is a shy girl living in the North of England with her drunken, domineering mother, Mari.
Little Voice hides away in her bedroom, listening to her late father's records and perfecting impersonations of great divas such as Judy Garland and Shirley Bassey. But when her mum's boyfriend, club manager Ray Say, overhears Little Voice's amazing singing talent he forces her into the spotlight – the last thing she wants.
