The Rover

Wilmore, a banished Cavalier, flees the austerity of Cromwell's England and arrives in Venice where he charms two women, a courtesan and a young woman about to be forced into a convent by her brother. Wilmore thrills in pursuing them both but finds that fantasy has dangerous consequences.
