The 47-million-year-old fossil caused a sensation when researchers from the University of Oslo suggested Darwinius masillae could be mans earliest human ancestor. Visitors can look down into the display case and witness the detail and extraordinary completeness of the fossil as it is in real life as well as learn much more about a very early stage in primate evolution.
